Prior Lake is about twenty miles southwest of our Edina office — I-494 west to 169, over the river at Shakopee, then Highway 13 in — call it a half hour when the Bloomington stretch behaves. It is a Scott County lake town where the season sets the calendar: docks in, patios open, Lakefront Days in August, then a long quiet winter. We build websites that hold up on both ends of that year.
The largest employers here are not private companies. The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is headquartered in Prior Lake and runs Mystic Lake, the Mystic Lake Center, and Dakotah Sport and Fitness; Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is the other big one. Around them sits a base of owner-operated trades — docks and lifts, lakeshore landscaping, remodelers, HVAC — plus clinics and dental offices, insurance and accounting practices downtown and along County Road 42, restaurants that live or die on the summer, and small shops in the Deerfield industrial park. Almost none has a staff member whose job is the website, and that shapes what we hand over.

FAQ
Not inside the city limits — we would rather say that than imply otherwise. The closest is NuuroTherapy in Burnsville, a short run east on County Road 42 through Savage, and we have worked with schools, clinics, and care providers across the south metro. If you want references from organizations the size of yours, ask and we will send them.
It changes what the top of the page does. For a dock service, a marina, or a patio restaurant, the homepage in April needs to answer different questions than the same page in November — install windows, hours, whether you are booking for next season. We build one or two swappable blocks your own staff can flip, rather than a site that needs us every May.
Sometimes not much of one. If you are a two-truck operation booked through Labor Day, a single well-built page and a properly filled-in Google Business Profile will do more for you than a $9,000 site, and we will tell you so on the call. Spend on the site when you are trying to reach people who have never heard your name — the households filling the newer subdivisions off County Road 21.
