Website maintenance in Bloomington

Bloomington is our next-door neighbor to the south, ten minutes down Highway 100 or straight along I-494, and the sites we are asked to look at there have a familiar shape. A hotel or restaurant near the Mall of America whose seasonal hours are from two seasons ago. A clinic in the Penn American District whose provider page still lists someone who left. A home care agency off 98th Street whose careers page has not changed since the last hiring push. A family service company whose contact form has been quietly failing since the vendor who built it stopped answering email. None of these organizations has a web person. They have a site that belongs to whoever last touched it. A care plan puts one person on it, every week, for a fixed monthly price, with your front desk still able to post the urgent things from a phone.

Keeping Bloomington websites right

Bloomington mixes a dense commercial corridor along I-494 with established neighborhoods, and the two halves wear out a website differently. The hospitality and retail businesses around the Mall of America and the South Loop live on hours, menus, parking, and event dates, which change with the season and the convention calendar and are checked by a visitor standing in a lobby on a phone. The clinics, home care agencies, and family-run service companies along Normandale and Old Shakopee Road live on staff lists, counties served, insurance accepted, and a form that reaches a human the same day. Both compete in crowded local search results, where a Google Business Profile that disagrees with the website is the most common problem we find, and the cheapest to fix. We check the two against each other every quarter.

What goes stale on a Bloomington site first

Hours, including holiday hours. Google asks businesses to confirm holiday hours even when they do not change, and a hotel bar or a clinic that leaves last year's Thanksgiving week on the site trains people to call instead of trust it. Then staff: a provider who left, a new manager who is not listed, a photo of a team that has turned over. Then the pages that carry a season: a summer patio, a winter closure, a holiday menu, a hiring push. For the care providers along the corridor there is also a standing obligation. Agencies and clinics paid by Medical Assistance fall under the federal Section 504 web accessibility rule, with compliance dates of May 11, 2027 for fifteen or more employees and May 10, 2028 for smaller providers. A quarterly accessibility pass on new pages and documents is part of the plan.

The vendor who stopped answering

The usual inherited Bloomington site runs WordPress with a theme and a dozen plugins that were current on launch day. Plugins are where the holes are: Patchstack counted 11,334 new WordPress vulnerabilities in 2025, 91 percent of them in plugins, and 46 percent had no fix available on the day they were disclosed. Forms fail the same quiet way. Since Google and Yahoo tightened their sender rules in February 2024, a form that emails from an unauthenticated domain is routinely junked with no error shown to anyone. Onboarding starts with a free thirty-minute look, then a full backup and a written inventory of every login moved into your name. Cleanup on a site we did not build, usually a few hours, is quoted in writing before the first month. After that: updates weekly after a backup, forms tested monthly, a report at month end.

Next door, with no Bloomington client yet

We have not built a site for a Bloomington organization, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. The closest work we can show is CityLight Home Care in Edina, one exit north, and NuuroTherapy in Burnsville, an autism and therapy practice across the river. The kinds of organizations Bloomington runs on, hotels and restaurants, clinics, home care agencies, trades, family service companies, are the kinds of sites on our plans already. For onboarding we will come to your building; it is ten minutes from our office at 4951 W 77th St, whether you are at the South Loop or out by Normandale. After that the work runs on email and a monthly report, and the drive stops mattering.

FAQ

Website maintenance in Bloomington

Have you maintained a website for a Bloomington business?

Not one we can name, and we are not going to invent one for this page. Our client list runs heavier in Edina, Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Burnsville, and the sites on our plans are the kinds of organizations Bloomington is full of: home care agencies, clinics, venues, small service companies. Ask for the two or three closest to your situation on the first call and we will send links, not a case-study deck.

What does website maintenance cost in Bloomington?

The Twin Cities agencies that publish care-plan prices, read in October 2026, run $50 to $100 a month for updates, backups, and monitoring alone, $149 to $474 for plans with one to two hours of content work, and $749 to $850 for four to five hours. National WordPress maintenance vendors publish $59 to $395. We do not publish a rate card. After a free look at your site you get a fixed monthly price in writing, the same in Bloomington as anywhere else we work.

Our hours and menus change with the season and the conventions. Can a plan keep up?

Yes, and it is the kind of change the Update level is built for. You send the new hours, the holiday schedule, or the seasonal menu, and we post it and mirror it on the Google Business Profile so the two never disagree. For things that cannot wait for a business day, an unexpected closure or a sold-out night, we set up a field your manager can change from a phone in a minute, and we train two people on it.

Do we have to move our hosting to you?

No. Hosting stays in an account in your name, and we manage it. If your current host is the reason the site is slow or keeps going down, we will recommend a better one, move the site, and set it up on your card. We do not resell hosting, because the moment a vendor owns your hosting they own your exit, and a Bloomington business locked out of its own site by a former vendor is a call we have taken before.
